The Guardian Project was founded in 2013 by Ben Kovacs and Joel Lunenfeld to allow children and teenagers with underprivileged background to learn martial arts in a safe environment. Today experimented instructors donate their time and share their knowledge in order to help kids to develop their skills, self-confidence and discipline

Since 2016, Dr. Tanaka has been involved with the Guardian Project and is donating his time to teach judo and brazilian jiu jitsu. Dr. Tanaka believes that though martial art we can build better people with strong values of respect, tolerance, and positive energy.
